Downtown bars are turning people away because they’re wearing brands of clothing that are being identified as gangster-wear.
Blacklisted brands include his favourite labels like Ed Hardy, Affliction and Xtreme Couture, he said. All of these use trendy motifs like tattoos, skulls and chains.
How did Ed Hardy shirts all of a sudden become “Gangster”?
I always thought these kind of shirts just said “Idiot”.

I was in Van City not too long ago. There’s been an explosion of gang related violence there between biker gangs and a mix of asian, triad and other gangs (anyone want to guess why?). While Tijuana has got the yayo, BC has got the bud. Both border the US, which has the demand and can trade in arms. Anyway, they have these units called “Gang Squads” (which are essentially “Gang Police”) who have the right to stop and search anyone who appears to be gang affiliated… it’s not that ‘Gay Hardy’ is ‘Gangster’ in as much as it is flabouyant and flashy with it’s glitter skulls and puke prints (read: baffonish) that attracts the 5-0’s attention. Yet another reason to be dressing G Manifesto sharp.

Mindlessly following stupid fashion trends is both effeminate and beta. Classic men’s fashion never changes. Polished shoes, good suits and button-down shirts are timeless, and make you stand out in a way that won’t attract the wrong attention.
