Paying Too Little

“It’s unwise to pay too much, but it’s worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money — that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot — it can’t be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

– John Ruskin (Victorian Art Critic)

Nice. Reminds me of a saying an Israeli friend of mine had, “We are not so rich that we can afford to buy shit.”

Hey man, your blog is cool and all, but what’s with the urban slang and all that?

I lived in Miami for 8 years and I always try to figure you out to be able to meet you some day, but you’re pretty vague… on purpose, “of course”

I enjoy your blog, but I do get a chuckle every time you gush about your experiences in other countries… You always sound like a kid in a candy store when you describe things that are pretty normal for some of us.

Anyways, now I live in Houston. After Miami, this town is like shooting fish in a barrel, but just out of curiosity… what do you recommend around here? Impress me.

    Example?

I have been traveling International since I was one years old. Traveling by my self Internationally since I was 15.

I would say its pretty normal for me too. Doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy it.

“what do you recommend around here?”

    Houston?

    Do me a favor.

    I don’t do Texas.

Heard the strip clubs are good from my sources. Check those out.

I can think of the Colombian trip you mentioned, right off the top of my head. Everything you described, no biggie… I guess you were just describing all that to impress on your readers… That yes, there is a world out there…

The Latvian articles were also kind of amusing…

So no TX? Don’t blame you… just wondering…

mikeraw / MPM – what’s a good annual after-tax income to comfortably game internationally?

and MPM – you mentioned in another post “Claudia”:
“If I think about it, my life with women has really gone all downhill from this point”

1 why not use your Game now to get down with her today?

2 does that mean your life with women was better when you had no Game or no interest?

On one hand, your brain might be playing tricks, rosy nostalgia for past times, filling in memories where none were. On the other hand, it’s a valuable disclaimer: excellent Game and international playboy life will give you X, y, z pleasures, but it won’t give you …
