Mason - how do you think this will do?

Eater first speculated that San Diego would score its very own Katsuya outpost back in August, so we figured it was time to check in and see what's the happ. It appears that construction is well underway at the Andaz Hotel in downtown San Diego, and if all goes as planned sbe hopes to softly open around February 21 with a grand launch celebration sometime in early March. By the looks of it, the S+ark infused spaced will be multi-level and supposedly Dan Saito has been tapped to helm the kitchen. Though he has worked as a restaurant consultant for the past couple years, he honed his chops at the Four Seasons Lanai and Julian Serrano’s Masa in San Francisco.
·Will SBE Open Katsuya in San Diego's Andaz Hotel? [~ELA~]

G, I thought you were too smart too play into the whole Republican/Democrat thing.

It's very simple: criminals try to get something, without putting forth anything. That is the essence of criminal exchange. Whether it's a mugger, the guy stealing your T.V., a con artist, or the crony-capitalist lobbying the politician for political kickbacks - the mentality is the same. Something for nothing. Democrats and republicans both are equally guilty.

Bill Mahr is an extreme statist and left winger who I am sure would have supported Mao or Castro in their day. Leave it to him to classify all business as crime, which is essentially what he is doing and to put a two party dialectic on the whole thing - of course he'll say it's the Republicans. Forget Solyndra, right? Both parties are essentially the same in this respect.

True free market principles are to be admired. You want to get rich? Create a product or service of value at a price which people voluntarily exchange with you. Expand and satisfy the needs and wants of more people. Consume less than you spend. That's what it's all about, it's the most ethical system, and it shouldn't be conflated with crime.

Finally, gangsta rap does not have a positive message and is nothing to be admired. Just think of the mindset it puts people into - pretty low. All hip hop doesn't fall into that category, thankfully.

I am off to read my favorite Venture Capitalist's blog. Bill Mahr did have one thing right "Get Equity or Die Trying."

I bet SD is as close to Mexico as u physically like to get. I like to roll down there, not too often. The older I get the more I feel like a possible target there. Fists, no match for the bullet, or the axe. Well maybe

Very interesting post. As an Eritrean, I find this sincere interest in Ethiopian/Horn of Africa women quite flattering and am glad our qualities are being recognized by non-habesha men :-)
To re-iterate what some habesha posters said, know that your girl will be very close to her family. Let her know that you are close to yours. The whole North American pushing for sex by the third date does not work well for most habesha women. Take your time with her.
I am delighted and impressed when a man actually has heard of my little corner of the world, Eritrea, cause 9 times out of 10 most people don't.
Habesha women are different from Western women cause we come from very traditional culture with a rich history, unique language and strong homegrown religion (be it Christianity, Islam or Judaism). This combines to foster a strong group affiliation which is why so many habesha people stick to their own, even for the ones raised in the diaspora.
The women tend to be raised to be deferential, show good manners (paramount), be kind and that combines to lend an air of feminity to a lot of us. This was something that I was not conscious of until my American friends would use words like "dainty" to describe me. In contrast, within my community the word "tomboy" is used to describe women who fall outside the behavioural feminine norm.

I am a big fan of yours from the Roosh forum. I think you have a very clean literary style - I call it Hyper Realism. Very direct, in your face. I enjoyed your report from Latvia. Excellent. I have some comments you might like about street fighting in Riga. Story is called "The Latvian Eagle" describing a huge guy in a kilt flying mid air. You might like it. Personally, I think Dublin actually sounds quite bright. His Customer is Always Right comment is tied to a request for something I would like- a forum here.

Greetings to all you esteemed Ethiopian ladies,
I'm a white South African guy, 44, a successful politician and businessman, devoted Christian, and following a divorce in 2009, I wish to marry again, and raise another family. I'm particularly interested in an Ethiopian lady. I was hoping my country's former first lady, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, would be elected recently to head the African Union in Addis Abeba, but it seems that was not meant to be. But I hope, in my own personal manner, to make a pact with your country, through one of your exquisite and well-raised women, and start a South African-Ethiopian mixed-race family. Please write me Ethiopian ladies. I look forward to hearing from you.
