Manny Pacquiao wins by split decision in rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez

Some thoughts:

1. Even though I picked Pacquiao to win, I scored the fight a draw. Either way, the fight was so close, that either man could have won.

2. Marquez’s reputation only rises after this fight and he once again has proved himself to be a true warrior.

3. Complaining about the decision is futile (unless of course, you are using it as leverage for a rubber match). It was a close fight. I have seen at least ten thousand worse decisions in boxing.

4. They are talking about not having a third meeting between the two fighters. My experience says they will have a third fight. They might just wait a little to build it up.

5. Pacquiao’s left is one of the most violent punches in boxing.

6. This fight was a classic.

7. Jasmine Villegas, the girl that sang the National Anthem, is a future star.

    MPM —

cruised the strip this weekend after winning some “free” tickets and spending money in washington DC on thursday night. your guide to VEGAS was spot-on, plus i caught the action like a true people’s champ ringside.

good fight, but best ring side seats i’ve ever had were in bangkok, posting up on a couch getting free drinks while watching two thai dudes kick the shit out of each other.

thanks for the advice, las vegas boulevard will never be the same.
