Women might claim they want caring, thoughtful types but scientists have discovered what they really want – self-obsessed, lying psychopaths.

A study has found that men with the “dark triad” of traits – narcissism, thrill-seeking and deceitfulness – are likely to have a larger number of sexual affairs.

Peter Jonason, of New Mexico University in Las Cruces, believes that these traits may have an innate, genetic component that explains why some men seem unable to stop themselves behaving badly.

Science now backs up my steez. I have always thought that Narcissism, Thrill-seeking and Deceitfulness were three of my better qualities.

Add custom suits to the mix and you are doing much better than fine.

Thanks to T at The Rawness, for putting me up on this data sheet.

i kinda think it all goes back to the caveman days….if you wanted food , safety, shelter, girls, power, respect, etc. you had to be a “ruthless, looking out for # 1, killer type dude” …..so girls had to learn to love that type of guy just to survive and raise their kids……..kinda sounds like nowadays ha?……….gio

Also never having any emotion helps a lot with game. I never felt guilty for cheating on girls or stealing girls. It also allows you to mimic the inner condition of others and makes manipulating easier.

The fact that those three traits still exist proves that it is beneficial to the one who posses it. Those three traits get a bad reputation since most psychopaths or sociopaths have it. Too bad there are much more pro than con to being a psychopath. 😛

First of all, the Dark Triad are all separate personality types. Saying someone has “The Dark Triad” is like saying someone with OCD, anxiety, and PTSD has the “Anxiety trio” or something goofy like that, because they overlap just as much (or more) than the Dark Triad do. It is called “COMORBIDITY,” most psychology 101 courses teach comorbidity.

Second, psychopathy is not really adaptive, and in most cases it is wildly MALadaptive. It is only adaptive for a very small portion of the population (Read Linda Mealey, 1995 for the frequency dependent selection of the psychopath/sociopath).

Third, the reason psychopaths have more partners is because they simply have NO STANDARDS. It is much easier to sleep with lots of women, if you are A) out looking for ANYONE to sleep with or rape every night and B) Are willing to Sleep with ANYONE that might be remotely interested.

In fact, it is really ONLY the psychopathic women who want a psychopathic man. So acting like a jerk and being cold and manipulative really doesn’t get you anywhere except in bed with an unattractive and/or psychopathic woman….the things that MOST women REALLY look for (i.e., dominance & prestige) are completely unrelated to, and actually negatively correlated, to being a psychopath (See Snyder et al., 2008).

Grow up, Michael. The only triad you have going for you is shallow, simplistic and easy.
Real women.. like real men. Tweakers and chicks with no self esteem like guys like you.

    Jeff,

    “shallow, simplistic and easy”

I like those also. Don’t call me “Penny”, because I do things the easy way.
