Riga, Latvia: Get it while it’s Good

As it stands today, Riga, Latvia is a wonderland of model thin girls, in short skirts (and it’s cold) and high heels (even on cobblestones).

However, I have a feeling that it wont last forever.

Why?

You see American culture creeping in. McDonald’s and TGI Friday’s are extremely popular. This will, in time, fatify Latvia.

You also are starting to see younger girls wearing UGG Boots. This will, in time, kill off the stilettos.

My guess is there is a 5-10 year window left. Maybe less.

So get it before it’s too late.

MPM, how did you handle the language barrier in Riga while hunting the dimes there as you obviously don’t speak Russian or Latvian?

Sounds like paradise, G. I’m gonna have to plan my first trip to eastern europe and increase my notch count in fine style.

    DrG,

“MPM, how did you handle the language barrier in Riga while hunting the dimes there as you obviously don’t speak Russian or Latvian?”

Girls speak pretty good English and I learned a little Russian and Latvian. So you can get on fine.

Although it would be mad G if you spoke good Russian. Or Latvian for that matter.

    Lai jums laba diena.

    Dagonet,

    Not quite paradise.

Keep reading my Data Sheets before packing the butter soft leather jacket.

Thanks MPM for the quick answer and great report so far.
I’m not one who usually enjoys going out alone, usually more fun with an entourage, but nevertheless since I speak Russian, Lithuanian, and can understand Latvian perhaps I need to make a pilgrimage to Riga. Haven’t been there since I was a kid.

MPM, I don’t know how it compares to Lithuania though… DrG is from there and testify that the girls are of good quality, and Mickey D’s and other TGI Friday’s like chains have yet to make their way. Sounds to me like Lativian girls are trying to emulate American girls so it won’t be long before those 9’s and 10’s become 4’s and 5’s…

It makes me really sad that slowly all the beautiful girls around the world will succumb to fast food and other unhealthy diets.
