Here is a great interview with one of the financial characters I respect the most, Marc Faber.

Watch the whole thing, or start watching at 1:43:

Weesh Interview stiff: You have lived much of your life overseas in Asia?

Marc Faber: Yes.

Weesh Interview stiff: If you were to counsel a 20 year old American today, and say “go pick a country, go live there, go make your fortune there”, where would you tell him to go?

Marc Faber: Well, that depends obviously on preferences. I like Asian Women. Maybe someone else likes Brazilians or Cubans or Russians or Eastern Europeans. I mean there are lots of things to consider…

Finally someone kicks the Truth.

Best financial interview I have ever seen.

How true. An associate tried to get me to move to Shanghai with him. I’m not into Asian women. So I passed.

That said, I hear there’s an abundance of fly Russians in Beijing.

Thanks, he’s quite a character – the Swiss definitely have the right attitude. Thought you might enjoy this quote of Faber’s from 2008:

“The US government is sending each of us a $600 rebate. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money goes to China. If we spend it on gasoline it goes to the Arabs. If we buy a computer it will go to India. If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala. If we purchase a good car it will go to Germany. If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy. The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it on prostitutes and beer, since these are the only products still produced in US. I’ve been doing my part.”

G… You often speak about been well dressed in custom made suits and such. I live in a very very very humid environment.l Even after a shower, I am sweating like a pig on the slaughter slab. Even a tie is difficult as I sweat all over and my collars dirty easy. Is there a way to still look nice (as if in a custom suit) without the suit. All sweaty in a suit is no way to look the G part.

Yo I can’t fuck with most of the bullshit you drop here, but you def rock the hits. When I saw Immortal Tech I was surprised. When I saw the Ghost Face references I knew it was on. When I saw PR Terrorist from Killarmy I was geeked.

    Word up.

Too bad the shit coming out now is wack though. I’m bumping MF Doom, Blue Scholars, Sun Rise Above, Killah Priest and that about it.

Marc Faber speaks the truth, a man after my own heart – speaking highly of asian women. He even lived in thailand for a while… G status in my book.

Honestly though- looking for a 5% yield on an investment is for the birds. Lets be realistic, any 5% investment should be an absolute guarantee – like zero risk, like I would trust with my grandma type trust.

I’m looking for the 10-20% + investments so i’ll be able to retire at 30 and live on the beach in Thailand with my wives – ya dig?

US treasury bonds? never would i consider that…

options on Asian commodity stocks, eh maybe, depends on the country. China is especially hard for foreign investors to buy stocks. I’d look towards Singapore and Vietnam, 2 countries i see making large strides in the next 10 years. but still – i don’t CONTROL these investments.

heists, international transactions, pharmaceutical entrepreneurship… now thats G

The Only other place on the web you can learn to be a G, or at least swoop mad honeys…
