HBO aired the first of a several part documentary entitled “Mayweather vs. Marquez: 24/7.” The program will provide their subscribers with a behind the scenes look at the upcoming battle between Floyd Mayweather, Jr. (39-0, 25 KOs) vs. Juan Manuel Marquez (50-4-1, 37 KOs).

“Mayweather vs. Marquez: Number One-Numero Uno” will commence on Saturday, September 19, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The bout will be televised live on HBO Pay-Per-View.

One thing is for sure, people will have an opportunity to see “Money-May” make it rain by flashing hundred dollar bills at every angle. People will see Mayweather brag about how he is still the best fighter in the world even though he hasn’t fought since December 2007.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mixtape

People will see Mayweather appear to play the role of “villain” they way he did in the other “24/7” series with Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton – both of whom Mayweather defeated in 2007.

One thing that should be noted in the “Mayweather vs. Marquez: 24/7” series is Marquez’ rise through the rough streets of Mexico. Marquez’ humble beginnings and determination should be noted.

Well all know that Mayweather, “Money-May, Pretty Boy,” is a WBC titlist in five separate weight divisions. From De La Hoya, Hatton, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, and Genaro Hernandez, Mayweather has defeated the very best out there.

“Mayweather could have fought Manny Pacquiao. He just had to wait one day,” said Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach, speaking at the news conference following Pacquiao’s crushing one-punch knockout of Hatton.

Juan Manuel Marquez Tribute

“I think he’s scared of Pacquiao because he chose Marquez. But we’re not going to wait around. I like to keep Manny busy. A busy fighter is a good fighter. I’d like to get a fight in November or December and we’re not going to wait around for anybody. If (Miguel) Cotto wants to come down a few pounds, we can make it happen. If Shane Mosley wants to come down a few pounds, we can make that happen.”

Mayweather, a six-time world champion in five weight classes, says he’s not dodging anyone but maintains he has earned the right to choose whom he fights after paying his dues in the professional ranks for 11 years—10 as a world champion.

“Everybody wants to fight me because they know I’m who they can make the most money with,” Mayweather said. “When you talk boxing, you talk Floyd Mayweather. I’ve been away for almost a couple of years and every time you pick up any magazine or anywhere I go, people talk about me. I’m still the fighter the fans want to see.”

The Line in the Sand
By: Matthew Bradbard

Click Here for Conquer the Crash: You Can Survive and Prosper in a Deflationary Depression

Energies Look for guidance from the dollar and the stock market to help positioning in energies. What will be on our radar this week is buying December $75/80 call spreads for under $2000 for clients wishing to gain long exposure in Crude oil, if the support holds? As we wrote last week we would not suggest out right shorts in oil but to play the ratio we have suggested buying puts in oil and calls in natural gas expecting the spread to narrow. As for the distillates we see no viable play. We continue to try to catch a falling knife in natural gas which has yet to show signs of a bottom.

Click Here for Conquer the Crash: You Can Survive and Prosper in a Deflationary Depression

Livestock We will be advising clients to exit their October lean hogs calls but too remain long on their December contracts. Prices have risen 11% in the last 2 weeks and be may be due for a breather. We rarely trade feeder cattle or pork bellies and have no suggestions for the time being. October becomes the front month in live cattle this week. With prices trading at an exorbitant premium to cash expect December and the forward months to gain on October. We have clients positioned in options and futures to take advantage of this.

Financials

Stocks: Equities continue to climb the wall of worry but at this time we are more content on the sidelines than bucking a trend and getting short and certainly new long entries are late to the party. For stock investors who have not lightened up in their portfolio what are you waiting for?

Bonds: Prices in Treasuries could go either way and with the NFP # out on Friday we suggest to sit on your hands. Longer term as a position trade we still are suggesting long dated puts in the Euro-dollar and will be using rallies to position clients short futures.

Currencies I’ve been predicting a dollar rally for the past few weeks and as you know it has yet to materialize. I still feel it is in the cards as displayed by the sharp baffling rallies last week. This will not be a trade we take but it cannot be ignored as the effect on other markets. The main happenings this week will be 2 central bank meeting; with the RBA and ECB expected to keep rates as is at 3% and 1% respectively. Our only currency exposure with clients is short Aussie dollars in September which is more of a hedge. If we start to see a correction in commodities we will most likely move out to December.

Grains This summer’s weather has been mostly favorable for corn and soybeans, but concerns remain that both crops may be vulnerable to yield losses this fall due to late planting. Crops look huge but there is virtually no margin for error. If we do in fact get an early freeze hello bull market. We have client’s positioned long December corn and wheat and are currently carrying a loss. Before we commit more money we would like to see more of a conformation of a bottom. A base looks like it is being formed but the sentiment remains bearish on both crops. We may take a look at rough rice for clients because of the weather problems in India. We will need to do some further investigation being we do not trade this market frequently.

Softs
There is more sideways action in the softs sector than trending markets with the exception of sugar which broke out to new contract highs last week. We were late getting back into sugar for clients but have a majority positioned long currently in the March 10’ contracts. See previous comments. Sugar has both technical and fundamental support to see higher pricing and it has been almost twice its current price, albeit about 30 years ago. Outside of sugar our exposure with clients is short cocoa which longer term looks like a good trade if the dollar rallies but the October puts clients currently own go off Friday so we need a decline immediately. We have long entries in cotton, oj, and coffee on our radar but have yet to commit funds.

Click Here for Conquer the Crash: You Can Survive and Prosper in a Deflationary Depression

Metals We rarely trade copper but prices should be followed as it is a barometer of the overall economy. It will be a good litmus test to see how prices respond at $3.00. Gold is sending mixed signals and although longer term we expect much higher pricing in the immediate future I do not have a good feel. We would rather be long than short but we would pare your position size and make sure you have stop loses being a dollar rally could be painful. Furthermore if and when the stock market corrects will gold act as a flight to quality? Silver remains our favorite long trade. It may sound like a broken record so we will keep it short and sweet, clients will be positioned long silver for the next 2/3 years expecting $25+ ounce. This move will not happen overnight and it will not be in a straight line. Currently we suggest call spreads in December.

Mexico’s new drug use law worries US police

Mexico now has one of the world’s most liberal laws for drug users after eliminating jail time for small amounts of marijuana, cocaine and even heroin, LSD and methamphetamine.

“All right!” said a grinning Ivan Rojas, a rail-thin 20-year-old addict who endured police harassment during the decade he has spent sleeping in Mexico City’s gritty streets and subway stations.

But stunned police on the U.S. side of the border say the law contradicts President Felipe Calderon’s drug war, and some fear it could make Mexico a destination for drug-fueled spring breaks and tourism

Argentina rules on marijuana use

The supreme court in Argentina has ruled that it is unconstitutional to punish people for using marijuana for personal consumption.

The decision follows a case of five young men who were arrested with a few marijuana cigarettes in their pockets.

But the court said use must not harm others and made it clear it did not advocate a complete decriminalisation.

Correspondents say there is a growing momentum in Latin America towards decriminalising drugs for personal use.

The Argentine court ruled that: “Each adult is free to make lifestyle decisions without the intervention of the state.”

500K Cocaine Cache in Gas Tank Intercepted by Border Patrol

Last Friday morning U.S. Border Patrol agents in San Diego Sector seized more than 51 pounds of cocaine stashed inside the gas tank of a SUV at the U.S. Border Patrol Checkpoint on Interstate 8 near Pine Valley.

At around 9:30 a.m., agents at the checkpoint encountered a Jeep Cherokee Sport driven by a 26-year-old male U.S. citizen. A Border Patrol canine team was summoned to conduct an exterior search on the SUV. The Border Patrol K-9 alerted on the vehicle, prompting agents to investigate further.

Agents inspected the undercarriage of the vehicle and noticed the gas tank had been tampered with. After removing the gas tank, Border Patrol agents discovered a modified compartment within the gas tank that contained 20 wrapped bundles of cocaine. The estimated street value is more than $516,000.

Acting on a tip, officers stopped a Turismo Ejecutivo SRL bus outside the city of Tarapoto in the central jungle state of San Martin, officials said Monday.

Police were puzzled when they found the turkeys in the crate, but didn’t find the cocaine, Tarapoto’s anti-drug police chief, Otero Gonzalez, told the Associated Press. They then noticed that the two turkeys were bloated.

“Lifting up the feathers of the bird, in the chest area, police detected a handmade seam,” he said.

A veterinarian extracted 11 oval-shaped plastic capsules containing 1.9 kilograms (4.2 pounds) of cocaine from one turkey and 17 capsules with 2.9 kilograms (6.4 pounds) from the other, he said.

Both turkeys survived the removal.

New meth formula avoids anti-drug laws

This is the new formula for methamphetamine: a two-liter soda bottle, a few handfuls of cold pills and some noxious chemicals. Shake the bottle and the volatile reaction produces one of the world’s most addictive drugs.

Only a few years ago, making meth required an elaborate lab — with filthy containers simmering over open flames, cans of flammable liquids and hundreds of pills. The process gave off foul odors, sometimes sparked explosions and was so hard to conceal that dealers often “cooked” their drugs in rural areas.

But now drug users are making their own meth in small batches using a faster, cheaper and much simpler method with ingredients that can be carried in a knapsack and mixed on the run. The “shake-and-bake” approach has become popular because it requires a relatively small number of pills of the decongestant pseudoephedrine — an amount easily obtained under even the toughest anti-meth laws that have been adopted across the nation to restrict large purchases of some cold medication.

Going to War Part II

(Here is my Facebook and New Twitter)

“My lyrics are blueprints to money making
Fat as that ass that honey shaking”

- Pac

A while back, we did a post on Going to War Part I.

Here is Part II

• Make a move on your rivals only when you see something to gain.

• Orders to your crew must be as clear as an azure sky in summertime.

• Do not confront your rivals when they are on the high ground.

• Attack to exploit a victory, never to balance a defeat.

• Use intellect instead of force.

• When you have a question, listen to Sun Tzu.

• Use cunning and patience not arrogance and rashness.

• One word: Preparation.

• Another word: Deception.

• War is a matter of life and death for The G. Treat it as such.

• The best way to win is to not fight at all.

• Know your adversary.

• When blood starts squirting, The G does deals with The Devil himself.

• When blood starts flowing, The G does business with the fanged ghoul himself.

• Victory at all costs is the only thing that matters.

Let others discuss ethics, while G’s bury their rivals and spark up celebratory smokes.

Douchebag VS Douchebag

(Here is my Facebook and New Twitter)

Click Here for Hot Chicks with Douchebags

This is typically beneath the type of subject matter handled on The G Manifesto (actually, who are we kidding?), but a number of people sent it to me so I figured I should post it:

The LAPD is currently looking for douchemeister extraordinaire Joe Francis after he allegedly Chris Brown-ed Brody Jenner’s girlfriend Jayde Nicole. If that didn’t make your vagina squeaky clean, it gets better (or worse, depending on how you look at it).

It all started at Guys and Dolls nightclub early this morning in Los Angeles. Brody told TMZ that Jayde witnessed Joe trying to put the moves one of his ex-girlfriends. For some reason, Jayde didn’t like this, so she threw her drink on Joe. You know how you’re not supposed to give a Gremlin water? Well, you’re not supposed to throw booze on a douchebag, because it strengthens their douchiness.

After Jayde wasted a perfectly good DRANK on Joe, he grabbed her by the hair, punched her in the face, threw her to the ground and started kicking at her. Security threw a little menstrual fluid on Joe which caused him to run out of the club. Brody immediately followed Joe outside and busted him in the face. Brody was then tasered by someone and Joe managed to get away.

The police are currently looking for Joe. Jayde says she will press charges against Joe.

And the video is where? I mean, Joe getting fisted in his fugly mug and Brody getting tasered in his ass?! We finally know the true reason why they were both put on this earth! It was so all of us could witness their asses getting socked and shocked! Git that video! Everyone’s happiness depends on it.

By the way, this entire fight was sponsored by Ed Hardy.

Pretty funny stuff.

I have always hated this Joe Francis nonce. I used to like Bruce Jenner as a little baby G, but these days he looks like a tranny and acts like a beta.

But the good news is, it looks like the douchebags are turning on each other.

Now, all we need is The Douchebags to turn on The Wimpsters, and vice versa.

Birthday Game and Swooping Girls

(Here is my Facebook, New Twitter and The G Manifesto Facebook Page)

Bang: More Lays In 60 Days

It is no secret that your Birthday is one of the easiest days/nights to swoop girls out of the year. There is something about Birthdays that make Ladies go Gaga. Me? I don’t care about Birthdays. What am I? Six years old? Can’t wait to get a Rubik’s Cube? No. To me, it’s just another night to swoop fly girls.

For whatever reason, it doesn’t matter how long you have known a girl, Birthday’s are known to be an extremely strong aphrodisiac.

In fact, I think the only Birthday I didn’t swoop at least one girl was my 21st Birthday, when rolled with my old-school crew. I got completely faded, and ended up puking my guts out in front of crack house after getting haymaker’d 21 times on my shoulder by one of my best droogs.

Thankfully, these days, I play my Birthday a little more smooth.

Typically, I call over girls to my crib on my Birthday “day” for two hour intervals, and bang them out accordingly.

Birthday “night” is a whole different story.

Common Birthday Game Theory suggests going out with a bunch of friends for pro-bono dinners and clubs and wack Bottle Service.

And your “friends” leading every female conversation with “It’s his birthday!” pointing to you and putting you, intentionally or not, on blast. This is usually followed by a shot bloodbath and too many high fives and hugs for your own good. Possibly, some terrible “heart to heart” conversation with someone.

Not smooth.

As you know by now, The G Manifesto is not about “common theory”.

Here is, in my opinion, the best way to play it:

Roll out Dolo.

Never mention it’s your Birthday until you have isolated the girl (or girls if you are Pulling a Vicky Cristina) you want to swoop.

Use a good isolation place: Cliff overlooking a beach, urban parkscape, or smooth lounge bar.

Bust a Double Cigarette Light Move (for style points)

Then tell the girl it’s your Birthday.

She won’t believe you at first.

Show ID.

Close Deal.

Works every time.

It works so good, that I have been toying with the idea of getting 365 fake ID’s made, so my “Birthday” can be every night.

I will keep you updated on the progress.

A motorcycle gang grabbed £2 million of jewels from an exclusive London store in just 39 seconds in a raid captured in dramatic detail on CCTV.

Six robbers on three motorcycles roared up the pavement to Mozafarian jewellers opposite Harrods in Knightsbridge.

One of the robbers smashed open the glass door with a sledgehammer before the gang, all wearing crash helmets, stormed in and smashed open display cabinets.

The haul of gems included a £500,000 diamond necklace. However, the robbers were unable to break their way into one display case containing further £3 million of gems.

Pouya Nikomagham, a sales assistant at Mozafarian, said that the highly organised gang members did not say a word as they raided the store.

“They were very professional, they knew what they were doing and where to go,” said Mr Nikomagham.

Miss Venezuela, Stefania Fernandez, was crowned Miss Universe 2009 on Sunday, giving her country its sixth title in the international beauty pageant.

Fernandez, an 18-year-old brunette, became the 58th winner of the title in a show broadcast live around the world from the Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in the Bahamas.

It was the second consecutive year that a contestant from the oil-producing South American country, which is famous for its beauty queens, won the Miss Universe title.

Venezuela had produced five previous winners.

Fernandez was selected out of five finalists chosen from the total field of 83 contestants.

The first runner-up this year was Miss Dominican Republic, Ada Aimee de la Cruz.

The rest of the top five were from Australia, Puerto Rico, and Kosovo.

Fernandez received the Miss Universe crown from last year’s winner, also a Venezuelan, Dayana Mendoza.

Lifestyle Design and Location Independence

(Here is my Facebook, New Twitter and The G Manifesto Facebook Page)

Click Here to Buy The 4-Hour Workweek, Expanded and Updated: Expanded and Updated, With Over 100 New Pages of Cutting-Edge Content by Tim Ferriss

Good article from Muse Life, by David Walsh about how Location Independence is only half the battle. Here are some highlights:

Everything ahead is based on personal experience. Though it’s bursting at the seams with judgement and condescending criticism, it’s also my own massive ego-check after rugged experimentation. It’s my realization that location independence is simply not enough and move back to the drawing board with unshakeable resolve for more.

1) Mobility is not Independence: Stop blurring the lines.

Mobility is as admirable a start as it is pathetic a finish. It is not wrong – it’s simply incomplete. Wireless isn’t freedom – it’s an extended leash. Call it whatever you want – it’s glorified telecommuting giving you an ever-greater sense of how big a world it is that you’re missing.

2) Perpetuation is not Elimination: Stop whoring your time for mobility. You deserve both.

When did we stop demanding time and mobility? Nearly half of all location independents work 40-50 hours a week. That’s a ridiculous number of people working absurd hours.
Click Here to Buy The 4-Hour Workweek, Expanded and Updated: Expanded and Updated, With Over 100 New Pages of Cutting-Edge Content by Tim Ferriss

3) Mobility is not Fulfilling

A raw sampling of the work-supported location independent lifestyle…

Stockholm: After a flirtatious exchange with two of the most stunning blonde girls you’ve ever laid eyes upon, you’re unable to accept their invitation to their normally all-girls fondue pajama party, due to your extended client work review session that evening. For the first time ever, you actually feel a dream die.

4) Logistics is not Ingenuity: Stop saying anyone can do it.

Even very smart people work constantly from one place. Slightly smarter people can travel the world working constantly from any place. The ingenious ones eliminate non-passionate work entirely to make room for experience.

5) Enabling Passion is not Passion: Stop lying to yourself about loving what you do

Just because you’re doing something from a bungalow in Thailand doesn’t make it something you love. You just love that it lets you chill in a bungalow in Thailand. You would never rationalize like that if you were doing it from a dank Scranton office park.

Paulie Malignaggi gets Hooked in Decision with Juan Diaz

Boxer Paulie Malignaggi was nearly apoplectic after losing a controversial decision to Juan Diaz Saturday night at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

After a terrible performance against Ricky Hatton last year, Brooklyn’s Malignaggi redeemed himself with a tactful, hard-fought effort against Diaz that should have earned him a victory — or at least a moral victory in a close loss. Instead, fighting in Diaz’s hometown, Malignaggi dropped a unanimous decision by a wide margin that should call into question the integrity of the judging and further alienate fans from the sport.

David Sutherland (116-112), Raul Caiz (115-113) and Gale Van Hoy (118-110) all scored it for Diaz in a junior welterweight bout (at a catch weight of 138.5) for the vacant NABO junior welterweight title.

The G Manifesto scored it 115-113 for Malignaggi.

Malignaggi landed 191 punches to Diaz’s 178, according to official punch stats.

In his post-fight interview with HBO’s Max Kellerman, Malignaggi skewered Houston and its treatment of visiting fighters.

“I had to deal with a lot of politics,” Malignaggi said, his voice rising with emotion. “That was ridiculous. I knew I was going to have to deal with this…I’m telling you, this state never gives a fair shake to anyone coming to this state to fight hometown fighters. It never happens.”

When asked about a possible rematch with Diaz, he said: “You know I ain’t getting a rematch, this is boxing; boxing is full of [expletive], I used to love this sport. I cannot stand doing this. The only reason I do this is because it gives me a good payday.”

Continue

Like Max Kellerman said after the fight, the market spoke.

There is no way a Brooklyn Italian is going to get a fair shake against a Mexican-American fighter in Houston.

Happens all the time. Won’t be the last.

Wasn’t even a bad example of it.

See Oscar De La Hoya VS Pernell Whitaker again.

But Malignaggi should have known this and won by a huge margin.
