Real Hip-Hop: Ghostface Killah – 2getha Baby – Apollo Kids

I have to admit, I completely slept on the new Ghostface Killah album. (I have been busy this year with trip preparation and swooping fly girls in Colombia.

This whole album is nasty like it was 1995. My little Brother Nicholas Alfonso Mason helped me figure out the samples.

Word up. R.I.P. Nate Dogg ” It ain’t no fun if the homies can’t have none”. Hip-Hop lost a true G today. His voice really anchored Snoops 1st album Doggystyle (his only dope album I think) and everything Warren G did. On Ghostface, he’s always dope. One of the only true MC’s out there. My favorite is still his Supreme Clientele album. From start to finish puro uncut dope. He even says he doesn’t listen to much contemporary Hip-Hop. That shouldn’t suprise. Anyway, keep up the good work Carnal. SUR 13.

    One Dope Mexican,

Yeah, he really was the cornerstone of the whole G-Funk Era and the West Coast Sound in general.

“Snoops 1st album Doggystyle (his only dope album I think)”

No doubt. Most people can recite every lyric from his first album, but can’t think of a single lyric he has said since. I think I remember hearing The DOC ghost wrote that album. Would make sense.

“He even says he doesn’t listen to much contemporary Hip-Hop. ”

That is funny you say that. I have met a bunch of dope Hip-Hop cats I respect, DJ’s ad MC’s alike and most say the same thing.

I am in that same camp.

I wish Ghostface and Rakweon would give a lecture about fashion, style, music, and picking up girls. They would clear up alot of the gay shit that most guys think is cool
